Richard, a beautiful unknown person in the heart of Essaouira

In the unique city of Essaouira, an extraordinary story unfolds quietly, carried by a man with a big heart: Richard, a 54-year-old Parisian, and his 81-year-old mother have made this Moroccan city the home of five people. years now. .

Their quiet everyday life was turned upside down at 11.12pm on September 8 last year when a devastating earthquake struck Morocco and the surrounding area.

Like everyone in this area, Richard heard the news on the radio. But his instinct, guided by infinite compassion, led him to act immediately. In just 24 hours he mobilized money and collected food, mattresses, blankets and anything else that could be useful to the victims of this disaster.

Early in the morning, at one past midnight, a convoy of eight vehicles loaded with supplies set off without knowing their exact destination.

After many hours of travel, the convoy stopped near Chichaoua before making its way to Adassil, a small rural town in the Marrakech-Safi region where the damage caused by the earthquake was particularly devastating.

The truth there was heartbreaking.

The residents lost everything and were in deep distress. Richard was deeply moved and decided to repeat this heroic experiment eight times since then to bring relief to those who needed it most. He is now aiming to organize another trip before the end of Ramadan in the hope of bringing some relief to families in need.

Although Richard insists on financing these operations from his own resources, he faces a financial challenge for his upcoming trip, estimated at 5,000 dirhams.

His selflessness has touched those who had the privilege of knowing him, and many want to support him.

Today we invite you to join us in supporting Richard in his noble mission. His selfless generosity and commitment to others are an inspiration to us all.

If you would like to contribute to your next food caravan, please feel free to contact us.

Together we can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.

In a moving conversation, Richard humbly explains that the greatest reward for his dedicated work is the happiness he sees shining in children's eyes, even with a simple balloon.

And therein lies their true wealth: the ability to make the world a better place one gesture at a time.
